October 2014 Update for ReGenerant Partners

The month of October has been an extremely busy but fruitful time for ReGenerant Network. As a new organization focused on mobilizing the next generation of Asian Americans to plant churches here and abroad, we are still developing our resources and our team. We are excited to announce the newest member of our team, Aimee Han. She will serve as our primary Administrator for ReGenerant Network. Here is her short bio. Welcome aboard Aimee!

“Hi!  I moved out here about a month ago from Michigan in order to work with ReGenerant, and to take a step of faith into God’s purpose and plan for my life.  I am a certified and experienced teacher, and though I find teaching incredibly rewarding, there was another part of me that was longing to be more immersed in missional ministry.  I am here to learn, grow, and serve in whatever capacity I am able.  There are many uncertainties ahead, in working with a start-up and in missional living, but so far, I cannot express to you how much I am loving it!”

The past two years, we have partnered with Exponential (exponential.org), the primary church planting conference in the United States. We launched ReGenerant in April at Exponential East in Orlando and continued our partnership at Exponential West at Saddleback at the beginning of this month.  There, we participated in one pre-conference (Prelaunch) and four seminars (The Future of Asian American Church). The highlight for the conference was gathering 30 Asian Americans for a luncheon to share the vision of launching churches in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

We were also able to guest teach at Talbot Seminary in Dr. Gary McIntosh’s Pastoral Ministry class. The topic was on leadership and church planting. Throughout the month of October, we have been presenting the vision of launching church plants in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and recruiting potential church planting candidates.  We have been blessed to partner with Talbot and Fuller for this endeavor, and have been receiving applications from a wide range of church planters.

We are looking for ways to expand God’s kingdom by planting Gospel-centered churches. Our first mission is to recruit, train and deploy 12 planters for 2015-2016. If you are interested in partnering with us, here is how you can get involved:

  • Share this email with a friend who might interested in planting a church.
  • You can make a donation on our website Regenerant.org
  • You can pray for us as we begin this new journey.
  • We are excited about how God is mobilizing the next generation of leaders and planters.

Thank you for joining us in this venture.

In Christ’s Service,

Ray Chang
